Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Jordan Water Company "Miyahna", Ibrahim Qubilat, said on Monday that the samples taken from the water in the Shmeisani area of the capital, Amman, showed that they do not meet the Jordanian standards.
Qubilat added that the company received a call reporting a change in water quality in the area, whereupon specialized teams moved to the site and took appropriate actions.
He indicated that the specialized teams went to the site and immediately worked on isolating and disconnecting the residential connections as a precaution, in addition to sterilizing the tanks, emptying them of water, and sterilizing them again.
Qubilat explained that complete control over the change in water quality in Shmeisani will be achieved by Tuesday morning, and the causes will be determined.
