Khaberni - The head of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, said that the municipality has allocated an amount of 400,000 Dinars for the maintenance of the ground of its municipal stadium.
Al-Azzam added that the municipal stadium ground is made of tartan and its lifespan has expired years ago, and it has not been changed for 14 years, explaining that the process of changing the ground along with the maintenance of the stands and the service and sanitary facilities of the stadium requires an amount of 800,000 Dinars.
He explained that the municipality has new projects that will be implemented in the future, including building training fields and five-a-side fields, to provide them for the clubs of the city of Irbid, for the benefit of young athletes.
Al-Azzam pointed out that Jordanian sports in various forms, especially football, have achieved significant accomplishments on the Arab, Asian, and global levels, which obligates us at Irbid Municipality to support sports clubs and provide infrastructure for them to support Jordanian sports and enhance its achievements.
