Khaberni - The Anti-Wall and Settlement Authority, on Monday, reported that the occupation state seized an area of 47 dunams from the lands of the towns of Funduqumiya and Silat ad-Dhahr in the Jenin Governorate and Barqa in the Nablus Governorate, with the purpose of initiating an expansion process based on a military order previously issued by the occupation authorities last month.
The Authority explained that the military order, numbered T/175/25, issued last month expropriated a total of 503 dunams from the three towns with the aim of constructing a "security" road connecting the settlements of "Homesh" and "Sanur" which had been evacuated in 2005.
The Authority continued, stating that on Monday, the occupation authorities again seized an additional 47 dunams from the mentioned towns in order to add new sections to the road intended to be constructed in the area, which is located to the west of the towns of Funduqumiya and Silat ad-Dhahr and to the north of Barqa.
It indicated that the occupation authorities have recently targeted the northern West Bank area, especially Tubas and Jenin, with a large number of military orders for military purposes, totaling 23 military orders aimed at establishing security and military infrastructure that paves the way for a significant return of settlement activities to the region, which threatens the Palestinian geography with disruption and fragmentation.
In its press statement regarding the violations by the occupation state and settlement expansion measures, the Anti-Wall and Settlement Authority noted that the occupation authorities in total for the year 2025 issued 94 orders for military purposes, 24 of which were to establish buffer zones around settlements and 52 were aimed at constructing "security" roads for settlers, the largest of which is a street stretching 22 km in the Northern Jordan Valley, and 5 orders for the construction of barbed wire fences and walls, and 9 other orders for the establishment and expansion of military sites and others.
