Russia We call for the immediate release of the legitimately elected president of an independent state

Khaberni - The permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations launched a scathing diplomatic attack against the United States, describing the recent military moves in Venezuela as "blatant aggression".

The Russian delegate asserted in an emergency session of the Security Council that what Washington has undertaken represents a "flagrant violation of the norms of international law" and a serious breach of the principles of sovereignty on which the United Nations organization is based.

In the context of his intervention, Moscow warned of the repercussions of what it called "American dominance based on the logic of force", noting that this approach now threatens stability in dozens of countries across various regions of the world.

The delegate made a direct appeal to the American leadership for the "immediate and unconditional release" of Nicolas Maduro, as the legitimately elected president of an independent state, and also demanded the release of his wife, considering their detention a dangerous precedent in international relations.

Observers believe that Russia's stance reflects the magnitude of the rift between the major powers regarding the Venezuelan issue, where Moscow accuses Washington of appointing itself as the "world's policeman" and exceeding the will of the peoples.

The Russian statement indicated that continuing on this path would lead to the undermining of the last manifestations of the global order based on multipolarity, which opens the door to a period of political and military chaos with unpredictable catastrophic outcomes for international peace.
