Khaberni - Greenland's Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen rejected the ongoing threats made by US President Donald Trump regarding the United States' desire to annex Greenland "Enough is enough... and no more illusions about annexation", while European allies of Denmark affirmed their support for the people of the Arctic island and their right to determine its future.
The US President had renewed his statements concerning the takeover of Greenland in a conversation with reporters aboard the presidential plane on Monday, revealing his intention to consider the matter of the island in the coming weeks.
Trump's statements came a day after US Special Forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a swift attack, where it was confirmed that Washington intends to oversee the governance of the oil-rich Latin American country, reviving fears in Denmark that Greenland, a Danish region with self-governing status, might face a similar scenario.
