Orange Jordan announces new executive appointments

Khaberni  - Announced Orange Jordan, effective from January 1, 2026, the appointment of Mr. Firas Barakat as the Executive Director of Human Resources, and Mr. Magdi Abu Tabook as the Executive Director of Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Resources and Procurement, as part of efforts to refresh the executive committee in the framework of the company's aims to enhance its leadership capabilities and advance its vision and future goals.

With the announcement, Barakat comes to the new position bringing over 25 years of experience in the fields of human capital consulting, organizational transformation, and leadership development in the Middle East and Africa, which contributes to enhancing Orange's efforts in the optimal employment of human resources. Barakat held senior leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as well as at IBM in the Middle East and Africa, where he led regional human resources strategies, as well as wide-ranging transformation programs and employee experience initiatives.

As for Abu Tabook, he possesses extensive experience spanning over 25 years in financial fields both inside and outside of Orange, including institutional oversight, auditing, enhancing corporate governance, and improving financial and operational controls. Abu Tabook has held positions such as Accounting Department Manager at Mobilecom, Director of Institutional Control, and Audit Department Manager at Orange Jordan, where he worked closely with the company’s executive management.

These appointments reflect the company's commitment to investing in leaders with extended and rich experiences, enhancing governance and developing human capital, which supports the sustainability of growth and advances the company's institutional transformation journey.
