Jordanian Agreement to Develop the Emergency Center 911 in Palestine

Khaberni -  The Public Security Directorate and the Palestinian Police signed today, Monday, at the Public Security Directorate building, a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing the work system at the Emergency Center (911) in Palestine, in the presence of Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya, and the Palestinian Minister of Interior Ziad Hab Al-Reeh.

The memorandum was signed by both parties by the General Director of Public Security, Brigadier General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, and the Palestinian Police General Director, Brigadier General Allam Al-Saqqa, reflecting the depth of fraternal relations and enhancing the paths of security and technical cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya confirmed that the signing of this memorandum embodies the royal directives to support the Palestinian brothers in various fields and expresses the strength of Jordanian-Palestinian relations, reflecting the mutual keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation and coordination in various fields, especially in security and service aspects, pointing out that the Command and Control Center (911) of the Public Security Directorate is an advanced model in managing reports and responding to emergencies, according to the highest professional and technical standards adopted globally.

 

On his part, the Palestinian Minister of Interior Ziad Hab Al-Reeh emphasized the importance of this memorandum in developing the work system of the Unified Emergency Response Center (911) in Palestine, affirming that the partnership with the Jordanian Public Security Directorate represents a qualitative addition in the path of modernizing security and service work, contributing to improving the efficiency of incident and emergency response, and enhancing the level of services provided to the citizens.

 

In turn, Brigadier General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah explained that this memorandum is in harmony with the royal directives and the approach of the Public Security Directorate in expanding its regional cooperation with security agencies in brotherly and friendly countries, noting that the directorate will work on transferring its technical and operational expertise, providing support and reinforcement in the fields of training and capacity building for the workers at the Palestinian emergency center, contributing to improving response speed and quality of services according to the best modern practices and standards.

 

For his part, the General Director of the Palestinian Police, Brigadier General Allam Al-Saqqa emphasized that the signing of the memorandum reflects the police's Palestinian commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its personnel, benefiting from the Jordanian pioneering experience in the field of emergency centers, and stated that this step will contribute to the development of the infrastructure and technology of the emergency center (911), harmonizing procedures and work mechanisms, which positively reflects on the quality of services provided, and enhances the citizens' confidence in the emergency and response system.
