Khaberni - A government source reported that the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Sheibani and the head of the General Intelligence Directorate Hussein Al-Salameh, is participating in the current round of negotiations with the Israeli side coordinated and mediated by the United States of America.
The government source told SANA: The resumption of these negotiations confirms Syria's firm commitment to reclaiming non-negotiable national rights.
The source added: “The discussions primarily focus on reactivating the 1974 disengagement agreement, ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces to pre-December 8, 2024 lines, within the framework of a mutual security agreement that prioritizes full Syrian sovereignty and ensures the prevention of any form of intervention in Syrian internal affairs.”
