Architecture Engineering in Arab Amman holds a workshop titled Sound Insulation in Buildings

Khaberni  - Under the directions of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wadyan, President of Arab Amman University, and monitored by Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the university, the Department of Architecture at Arab Amman University held a training workshop on "Sound Insulation in Buildings," presented by Professor Dr. Hanan Ahmed, faculty member, to architecture students across all academic years, with the aim of introducing the students to the importance of sound insulation in improving the quality of the indoor environment of buildings and reducing the adverse effects of noise.

During the workshop, Dr. Hanan discussed the practical and applied aspects related to types of sound insulation, insulation materials used, and methods for designing and implementing insulation systems in various types of buildings, focusing on residential and commercial buildings. The workshop included practical training on using engineering software to analyze sound insulation and case studies of projects where sound insulation has been successfully implemented. It also covered the main challenges that architects might face in this field, and ways to overcome them, which contributes to achieving higher levels of comfort for users.

At the end of the workshop, the participants praised the importance of the workshop in enhancing the practical aspect of studying architecture and preparing students to deal with the requirements of sustainable and energy-efficient design. Dr. Hanan also emphasized the importance of integrating these topics into the curriculum to keep pace with the latest developments in the fields of architecture and building.
