The Security Council discusses American intervention in Venezuela today

Khaberni  - The International Security Council, consisting of 15 members, meets today, Monday, to discuss the American military intervention in Venezuela, following the sudden operation where American special forces detained President Nicolas Maduro.

Russia, China, and other allies of Venezuela have accused the United States of violating international law, but U.S. allies, many of whom oppose Maduro, were less expressive about their concerns regarding the use of military force.

The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated on Saturday that Guterres views the American operation in Venezuela as a "dangerous precedent".
