Directorate of Labor in AlKarak Providing 757 job opportunities during the last year

Khaberni - The director of the Directorate of Labor in Al-Karak, Hamad Al-Fateenat, said that the number of job opportunities provided by the Employment and Vocational Guidance Department at the Directorate for the residents of Al-Karak Governorate last year was 757 job opportunities in the private sector covered by social security.

Fateenat added on Monday that the Directorate provided job opportunities for 90 people with disabilities, indicating that the number of certified experience certificates reached 605, the number of vocational guidance sessions for various segments was 767 sessions, and the number of new companies registered on the national platform for employment "Record" was 46 companies.

He affirmed the Directorate's ambition to combat unemployment and enhance economic development by offering various job opportunities to citizens under the current economic conditions and challenges facing the job market.

He added that the Directorate's team is working to implement effective strategies aimed at connecting job seekers with job opportunities that match their skills and qualifications, in addition to the Directorate's efforts to establish partnerships with the private sector to enhance and provide job opportunities and open new areas for that.

Fateenat emphasized that the responsibility of the Directorate revolves around implementing the policies of the Ministry of Labor by regulating the job market and providing employment opportunities for job seekers in coordination with the private sector and the Chamber of Commerce in Al-Karak (like organizing job days).

He added that the Directorate is in charge of inspections, labor relations, monitoring laws and regulations related to employment, and providing information and statistics on job market data in the governorate to support national employment objectives, confirming that it is the executive arm of the Ministry of Labor in Irbid Governorate to achieve the ministry's goals related to organizing and developing the job market.

Fateenat explained that the Inspection Department and Safety Department conducted 2045 inspection visits, issued 163 violations, and directed 562 warnings to several violating institutions last year.

He added that the number of complaints resolved through the "Protection" platform was 100 complaints, and the number of certified contracts for Jordanian workers was 59 contracts, noting that the Directorate deported 177 workers of various nationalities for violating Article 12 of the Jordanian Labor Law.

He pointed out that the inspection teams detected two cases of child labor in the job market.
