Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Ella Wawieh, announced an incident of two Israeli citizens accidentally crossing the border into Jordan, which resulted in their detention and subsequent release and return to Israel.
Wawieh published on her channel on the "Telegram" app: "A report was received yesterday (Saturday) about two Israeli citizens who crossed by mistake from Israel into Jordanian territory. They were detained by the Jordanian army forces after they crossed the border."
She added: "The two citizens were released and returned to the territory of the State of Israel."
The Israeli army emphasized in its statement that "crossing into Jordan outside a regulated border crossing is forbidden and dangerous for Israelis and constitutes a violation of the law."
