US President Donald Trump, in remarks reported by Reuters, said that his country «must do something about Mexico», emphasizing that «Mexico needs to get its act together».
On Colombia, Trump described the situation there by saying that «Colombia is run by a sick man, and he will not last long in that role», adding that «the operation in Colombia looks good to me».
Regarding Venezuela, Trump confirmed that «the elections will be held at the appropriate time», pointing out that Washington «was ready for a second wave in Venezuela and everything was prepared, but he does not believe there is a need for that now.
He explained that the United States «is dealing in Venezuela with the people who have just taken the constitutional oath», indicating that the current focus is «more on fixing Venezuela rather than the elections».
In a related context, Trump reassured that «all the injured troops are in good condition after the operation in Venezuela».
