Manchester City took the lead first through Tijani Reinders in the 42nd minute, before Enzo Fernandez scored the equalizing goal for the Blues in the fourth minute of stoppage time, securing the London team a valuable point in their first match after the mutual departure of their coach Enzo Marisca.
Manchester City raised their points to 42, reclaiming the second position from Aston Villa on goal difference only, while Chelsea reached 31 points in fifth place.
