Khaberni - The head of the Al-Zarqa Municipality Committee, engineer Khaled Al-Khashman stated that the destruction of confiscated goods shown in the circulated video was shocking and painful, and it cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext, emphasizing that this behavior does not represent institutional values and does not reflect the work ethics we believe in.
Al-Khashman added, "It is sad that such actions are committed in the name of enforcing the law, while the law was established to protect people, not to harm them, and to safeguard rights, not to waste them," emphasizing his absolute rejection of this behavior and that he will not allow its recurrence under any circumstances.
He clarified that confiscations are made against those who violate the law and according to clear legal procedures. However, the destruction of confiscated items outside the official frameworks is a serious violation that touches the core of justice and damages the image of institutional work, shaking the citizens' confidence.
Al-Khashman confirmed his full responsibility for the value of the goods that were destroyed, based on his moral responsibility before the administrative, explaining that this decision does not cancel accountability but accompanies it, as the competent authorities have begun taking strict measures against the involved employees.
Al-Khashman concluded by reaffirming that the dignity of people and their rights are a red line, and that any employee who exceeds his authority or misuses his power will be held accountable without hesitation, adding: “We will build trust only with justice, and protect the system only with humanity.”
