Khaberni - The likelihood of veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos taking over his childhood club, Sevilla FC, is increasing.
According to The Athletic, Sergio Ramos is leading a group of foreign investors who have offered about 400 million euros to acquire the club.
The report indicates that Ramos will not be the main investor in the deal, but he will be the media front for it, alongside an American investment fund.
The offer stipulates the acquisition of all Sevilla shares, but the deal will be conditional on a precise evaluation of the club's current debts, pending an external review.
The offer led by Ramos is one of three the club has received, the largest being from foreign investors, which is currently pending after the completion of necessary due diligence procedures.
Among the prominent aspects of Ramos' offer, and the offer of the investment group he will lead, is allocating 400 million euros for the "commercial value" of the club, meaning it will not include capital investment for balancing the budget and starting from scratch.
It is noted that Ramos progressed through Sevilla's academy, and achieved successes with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team.
The 39-year-old returned to Sevilla in the 2023-2024 season and recently ended his playing period with Monterrey in the Mexican league, and his future in the fields remains uncertain.
