Khaberni - "OpenAI" is heading towards the development of a personal device that operates with artificial intelligence, primarily depending on voice interaction, parallel to anticipated improvements on "ChatGPT" voice models, according to recent reports and leaks.
The "OpenAI" device will be "voice-based" with new "ChatGPT" models.
A new report published by "The Information" revealed the latest leaks and information related to the first device being developed by "OpenAI", including plans to update developed voice models for "ChatGPT" and expand their capabilities.
An informed source on the efforts said that "OpenAI" is taking steps to enhance the voice artificial intelligence models, in preparation for launching a personal AI device, noting that the device will heavily rely on voice interaction.
An informed source on the project reported that the architecture of the new voice model will provide more natural responses, with a higher capacity for emotional expression, as well as offering more accurate and deeper answers compared to current versions.
The source added that the new voice model will be able to converse in sync with the human user, a feature not available in current models. It will also be more capable of handling interruptions during dialogue, noting that the company intends to launch this model in the first quarter of 2026.
The report explained that the hardware product being worked on by "OpenAI" is still not slated for release until another year from now, and also indicated that the device will be the first among a series of devices being developed.
It is expected that this ecosystem of products will fully focus on voice, among the ideas discussed by the company are glasses and a screenless smart speaker.
