Turkish Source We have no information about Trumps offer to exil Maduro to Turkey

Khaberni - A Turkish diplomatic source stated that Ankara does not have any information about a warning made by US President Donald Trump to Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, which includes exiling him to Turkey.

The same source, who remained unidentified, told the Russian agency "Novosti": "Such information does not exist, and we do not know where it could have come from."

The "New York Times" had earlier reported, citing American and Venezuelan sources involved in the negotiations, that Maduro had rejected Trump's ultimatum at the end of December 2025, and refused to step down and leave for Turkey.

Trump had announced on Saturday that the United States launched a wide-scale strike on Venezuela, and that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were arrested and removed from the country.

A number of members of the US Congress described the operation as "illegal," while the US administration stated that Maduro "will face trial." The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced its intention to approach international organizations and requested an urgent meeting of the Security Council of the United Nations.

On its part, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "its solidarity with the people of Venezuela" and "its deep concern" about reports of the forcible deportation of Maduro and his wife, calling for "their release" and "the prevention of further escalation" in the situation.
