Finding the Frozen Body of an Elderly Turkish Woman in Her Home Garden

Khaberni - The Turkish city of "Karabük" was shocked by a tragic incident when the elderly Zahra Bolom, aged 80, was found lifeless and frozen in the snow in the backyard of her humble home after she succumbed to the severe cold.

Passersby discovered the body of the elderly woman lying in the snow, which prompted them to immediately notify the authorities.

Following this, the police and emergency teams rushed to the scene, and preliminary examination revealed that the elderly woman died due to a sharp drop in her body temperature from the frost.

Criminal investigation teams and scene inspectors conducted a thorough sweep of the area surrounding the modest house, while Zahra Bolom's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) for a medical autopsy to determine the precise and final cause of death, and to verify if there were other reasons for her fall in the garden.

This incident once again highlights the hardships faced by the elderly living alone under difficult living conditions, especially with the intensification of cold waves and snowfall in Turkish states.

This incident also brought to the forefront family ties, as Turkish tweeters commented on the need to work on enhancing social relationships to avoid similar incidents of individuals dying alone.

The security authorities are still continuing their investigations into the incident to determine all the details surrounding the elderly woman's last moments.
