Khaberni - Alaa Mubarak, son of former Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, commented on the United States kidnapping Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, describing the operation as "bullying and unrelated to drugs".
In a post on the "X" platform, Alaa Mubarak mocked the United States’ plans to handle Venezuelan oil, saying, "The operation is clear" and that it concerns controlling the country’s oil and gold resources, according to him.
He continued: "Trump: We will pump more Venezuelan oil into the global markets!! At this rate, you could have waited a bit, the operation is clear. It's unreasonable for Trump to decide to kidnap the Venezuelan president and try him under the pretext of smuggling drugs across the US border and at the same time pardon the former president of Honduras who was also accused and tried in America and jailed in a case involving smuggling 400 tons of cocaine into the United States!! Therefore, the issue is not about drugs but about bullying to control the country’s wealth from its gold and oil, etc."
