Khaberni - A tragic crime shook the city of Las Vegas after a 27-year-old man beat his parents to death with a baseball bat, then called the police asking them to shoot him upon sight.
According to local reports, it all started when Adrian Bailey called emergency services yesterday (Saturday) confessing to his deed saying that he could no longer bear it, before adding in a subsequent call that he was a threat to himself and others and should be dealt with immediately.
When the police arrived at the home on New Brunswick Street, they found the father, Roger Bailey, dead in the living room, while the mother, Christine Bailey, was transported to the hospital but later died from severe head injuries.
The criminal complaint indicated that Adrian used a baseball bat to commit the crime, and he was detained at the Clark County Detention Center, facing two charges of murder using a deadly weapon.
The father, Roger Bailey, was a respected figure in the local community, having served for more than 32 years and was a prominent member of the Grand Canyon Synod council between 2019 and 2025, described by residents as a committed and calm leader. The mother, Christine Bailey, was active in children's programs and the local community church, and the family's neighbor, Virginia Zimmerman, expressed her shock: «I've known them for many years... what happened is heartbreaking».
The police continue their investigations, urging anyone with additional information about the incident to contact the homicide department to enhance the investigations and uncover the circumstances of the crime.
