Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the execution of a citizen who killed his wife in a horrific manner,
and the ministry stated in a statement today that it carried out the death penalty by crucifixion against one of the perpetrators in the Mecca region.
It was detailed that the accused, Thamer bin Mohammed bin Hamed Al Halisi Al Harithi - of Saudi nationality - committed the murders of his wife Maram bint Ali bin Aali Al Harithi and his brother Hamed - both of Saudi nationality - by stabbing his wife with a sharp tool, slitting her throat, and shooting his brother, leading to their deaths.
It was detailed that the security authorities managed to capture the aforementioned perpetrator, and the investigation with him led to charging him with committing the crime, and by referring him to the competent court, a verdict was issued proving the accusations against him, and due to the atrocity and sanctity of what he had committed from killing his wife by slitting her throat and severing her neck and killing his brother by ambushing him with premeditation, he was sentenced to death by crucifixion, and the judgment became final after his appeal and then confirmation by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided religiously.
The death penalty by crucifixion was carried out on the perpetrator, Thamer bin Mohammed bin Hamed Al Halisi Al Harithi - of Saudi nationality - on Sunday, 15 / 7 / 1447H corresponding to 4 / 1 / 2026 in the Mecca region.
