Allowing American Airlines to Resume Flights Over the Caribbean Region

Khaberni - American airlines have been reauthorized to fly over the Caribbean region, after being banned due to the military operation carried out by the United States in Venezuela, as announced by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Davy on Saturday night into Sunday.

Davy wrote on the X platform, "The initial restrictions on the airspace over the Caribbean region end at midnight Eastern Time (05:00 GMT Sunday), and flights can be resumed."

The American aviation regulatory authority "banned" on Saturday the companies registered in the United States from flying within the entire Caribbean airspace "due to security risks (...) associated with ongoing military activity."

The American armed forces launched an attack on Venezuela on Friday night into Saturday and arrested President Nicolas Maduro, who was transferred to the United States and placed in prison.
