Khaberni - Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Minister Sami Samirat said on Sunday that the monthly user count for the Sanad app has reached about 1.3 million users, while the number of activated digital identities has exceeded two million.
During a press conference discussing the latest updates made to the Sanad app, Samirat pointed out that approximately 6 million digital transactions are executed monthly through the app, including inquiries and various procedural services, reflecting the growing reliance on the Sanad app and increasing trust in the digital government services it provides.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship continuously leads efforts in the digital transformation in the kingdom, stemming from the belief that digital transformation is no longer an option, but a necessity to improve the quality of government services, enhance their efficiency, and facilitate citizens' access to them, in alignment with the royal directives, the comprehensive modernization trajectory of the Jordanian state, and the public sector and economic modernization programs, as well as the orientations of the National Council for Future Technology.
Samirat clarified that in the past years, the Ministry of Digital Economy has been working on building a comprehensive digital government system based on simplifying procedures, speeding up transactions, and enhancing trust in digital services, with the citizen at the heart of the development process, making services more accessible and easier to use.
He added, "We believe that true digital transformation is measured by the extent of impact felt by citizens in their daily lives, and by the ease of access to, and quality and speed of, government services."
He noted that the Sanad app was created to be the unified national platform for digital government services, a trusted portal enabling citizens to access various government services from one place, securely and easily, and without the need to visit government agencies or move between them.
He highlighted that the Sanad app has become one of the fundamental pillars of digital transformation in Jordan.
Samirat also mentioned that approximately 6 million digital transactions are executed monthly through the app, including inquiries and various procedural services, reflecting the growing reliance on the Sanad app and the increasing trust in the digital government services it provides.
Continuing, "Building on this success, and in order to further develop it, within the framework of directives from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who has emphasized through his ongoing monitoring of the work of the National Council for Future Technology the importance of updating and improving the Sanad app, we announce today the launch of a new qualitative update to the Sanad app, representing an advanced shift in the experience of digital government services, enhancing speed, ease, and integration of services offered to citizens."
In December 2025, Samirat had stated that work was ongoing to update the "Sanad" app for government services, noting that accessing the app will become easier and that the development is being carried out by a Jordanian team.
At that time, he explained that work was actively proceeding on the app update, and that an updated version had been launched on a trial basis, aimed at speeding up services.
By the end of 2025, the ministry announced the digitization of 80% of government services, equivalent to 1920 services, while about two million digital identities were activated through the Sanad government app.
The government launched the "Sanad" app in February 2020 as part of the fifth executive package of the government economic program, to support "electronic services and improve the business environment", and subsequently, several updates were made to the app to overcome initial operational issues.
