Khaberni - American actor Will Smith faces a new lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment and wrongful termination, filed by violinist Brian King Joseph, known for reaching the top three in America’s Got Talent in 2018.
The lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court of Los Angeles County, alleges that Joseph accused Will Smith of trying to sexually exploit him during preparations for his 2025 world tour Based on a True Story in Las Vegas, which was launched in November last year to support his latest album.
According to the complaint, Smith had formed a close relationship with Joseph while working together, and at one time told him, "We have a special bond that I do not share with anyone else."
The events described in the lawsuit include that during a tour stop in Las Vegas in March 2025, Joseph returned to his hotel room to discover that someone unknown had entered the room without any signs of forced entry and left a handwritten note saying: "Brian, I will be back... just us" and signed "Stone F" with a heart beside it.
A collection of odd belongings under someone else's name and hospital discharge papers belonging to an unknown person were also left.
Joseph explained that he lived in constant fear of the possibility of this person returning to assault him, so he reported it to hotel staff, the police, and the tour management team, but he was later subjected to direct retaliation represented in scolding and being dismissed from the tour and replaced by another musician, causing him substantial psychological and financial damage, including post-traumatic stress disorder and tarnishing his reputation, as he described.
The lawsuit confirmed that Smith was "deliberately nurturing and guiding Joseph for later sexual exploitation," and that his previous actions and statements indicate a pattern of abusive behavior and not an isolated incident.
In response, Smith's lawyer Allen Grotsky denied all the allegations, describing them as "false, baseless, and reckless," and assured that his client would use all available legal means to clarify the truth.
