Israeli Police Kill Palestinian and Siege Tarabin Village in the Negev

Khaberni - Israeli Channel 12 reports that the police killed a young man in the Bedouin village of Tarabin in the Negev, which had previously witnessed clashes where Israel accuses village youths of targeting settlements.

Recently, Israeli media and figures on social media platforms have escalated their provocative rhetoric against the residents of Tarabin, based on accusations claiming several village youths were involved in targeting adjacent Jewish settlements.

Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir earlier posted on the "X" platform, where he threatened the people of Tarabin, saying "They thought they were sending me a message saying: (Ben-Gvir, be careful). And I say to them: I will not only be careful, but I plan to go ahead full force. Tomorrow I will be in Tarabin, and they will see the largest number of police. They will not intimidate me."

The people of Tarabin, along with other unrecognized Arab villages in the Negev, are engaged in an existential struggle over land in the face of Israeli projects aimed at establishing individual farms, agricultural colonies, and Jewish towns over Arab lands, as confirmed by the head of the Regional Council for Unrecognized Villages, Atiya Al-Aasam.

Al-Aasam - in a previous talk to Al Jazeera Net - indicated that Arab villages are facing advanced evacuation plans under various pretexts, centered around a consistent policy summarized as cramming the largest number of Arabs into the smallest possible area, in contrast to distributing a few Jews over large areas of land.
