Khaberni - The number of visitors to Petra rose by about 23.1% during the first eleven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to preliminary official data.
According to the data, from January through November 2024, about 429,841 visitors were recorded, including 149,724 Jordanians and 280,117 foreigners.
The data shows that the number of visitors during the same period in 2025 reached about 529,167, of which 157,938 were Jordanians and 371,229 foreigners.
The figures indicate that the number of foreign visitors increased by 32.5%, while the number of Jordanian visitors increased by 5.5% compared to the same period.
Earlier, preliminary data issued by the central bank indicated that tourist income in November 2025 increased by 12.6% to reach 606.6 million dollars, compared with an increase of 14.9% to reach 538.6 million dollars during the same month of 2024.
In light of this, tourist income rose by 7.0% during the first eleven months of 2025 to reach 7,160.2 million dollars compared to 6,691.7 million dollars during the corresponding period in 2024.
