Khaberni - The Securities Authority has warned investors about the risks of dealing with unlicensed companies that tempt investors with promises of unrealistically high profits, whether in foreign stock exchanges or in virtual assets, via social media or misleading advertisements.
The Authority urged investors to verify in advance that these companies are licensed by the Authority by referring to the website: (https://www.jsc.gov.jo), or by directly calling the number (065607171), and also called for reporting any fake or suspicious investment activities or offers by contacting the Public Security Directorate/ Cybercrime Combat Unit at the number (911).
The Authority explained the importance of verifying the licensing status of any company before investing or transferring money, and not to be swayed by promises of quick or guaranteed profits, as dealing with unlicensed companies exposes investors to high risks, especially losing money, exposure to fraud, and the absence of any legal or regulatory protection.
The Authority affirmed its commitment to protecting investors and taking necessary legal action against violating parties.
