Khaberni - The American President Donald Trump said that the United States will control Venezuela until a transitional process is conducted, confirming that Washington implemented an attack not seen since World War II.
Trump added during a press conference held at the White House about recent events in Venezuela: "We brought Maduro and his wife to justice," indicating that "Maduro and his wife will face the force of American justice on our soil."
Trump discussed Maduro's threats to the people of the United States and the stability of the region, confirming that he is responsible for smuggling drugs to America, and that he runs the gangs promoting them. He added that "Washington has conclusive evidence of these crimes, which will be presented to the court."
Trump explained that American forces targeted a fortified military stronghold as part of an operation aimed at capturing Maduro and bringing him to justice. He mentioned that the United States is now "the most respected country in the world," emphasizing the strength of the American military.
Trump said: "The American military is the strongest in the world, and we have eradicated 95% of the drugs coming from Venezuela." He also stressed the United States' readiness to launch a second attack on Venezuela if necessary.
He added that Maduro emptied the Venezuelan prisons and sent the prisoners to the United States to commit crimes and promote drugs. Trump announced that "the United States will rebuild the oil industry in Venezuela with American expertise and oil companies."
He also accused Venezuela of unilaterally controlling American oil assets and platforms, noting that Washington will not leave this unanswered. He also said: "We will secure our borders and protect them from terrorists, and I will not allow them the opportunity to escape American justice."
Trump added that "the process of arresting Maduro must serve as a warning to everyone," indicating that it comes as part of a strict American policy towards regimes that threaten regional and international security.
He expressed his pride in the American Secretary of Defense, saying: "I am proud of the Secretary of Defense for what he has done in this operation."
