Khaberni - The Governor of Balqa, Faisal Al-Masaed, announced today, Saturday, the complete closure of the Salt - Shueib Valley - Middle Ghor Road, starting from its meeting point with the Sake Maahase Road up to the checkpoint at "the Unknown Soldier".
This measure is due to the mountain collapses that occurred in the area adjacent to the road, which happened this morning.
Al-Masaed explained that the closure is necessary to address the effects of the mountain collapses and to carry out the necessary maintenance work to ensure the safety of road users, with directions given for immediate commencement of removing the collapsed materials and securing the affected areas.
He urged citizens to use the following alternative routes until the maintenance is completed: Aireh - Karamah road, Salt - Al-Aradheh - Ghor road, and Amman - Adasiyah - Ghor road.
He stressed the importance of adhering to this directive and following the designated routes to ensure the safety of citizens and to avoid any potential risks, noting that the relevant authorities are working around the clock to expedite the maintenance operations and reopen the road as soon as possible.
It should be noted that the mountain collapses in the area were due to recent weather conditions experienced by the Kingdom, including heavy rainfall.
