Khaberni - Lebanese media reported on Friday that Lebanese nuclear scientist Mohammad Ali Mekhaiber Ayoub was found lifeless inside his apartment in France, with no official explanations provided about the reasons.
According to available information, the news of the death reached his hometown of Rayak in the Beqaa region, while the French authorities continue their investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident and determine its conditions.
Ayoub had been working in the scientific field in France for about 15 years, and information indicated that the deceased was constantly traveling between France, Spain, and Switzerland, whether for professional purposes or during vacation periods.
In this context, his cousin Mehdi Ayoub traveled from Britain to France to complete the necessary procedures for the repatriation of the body to his hometown in Rayak.
It is expected that the body will be transferred next Monday, due to the holiday in the coming two days in France, after the completion of the required legal procedures.
The incident has generated wide interaction among Lebanese on social media, where some believe that this incident could be a premeditated crime, considering it possible that his elimination was due to him knowing a secret or for his scientific capabilities.
