Rashdan Officially Ends His Contract with AlZawraa and Returns to Jordan

Khaberni  - Nizar Rashdan, the star of the Jordan national football team, has officially terminated his contract with Al-Zawraa Club of Iraq, where he will decide his next professional destination in the upcoming few days.

Rashdan has received several professional offers from South Korea and Saudi Arabia, following his remarkable performance with the Jordan national team in the 2025 Arab Cup where they finished runners-up for the first time in history.
Nizar Rashdan has returned to Jordan from Iraq, after informing Al-Zawraa club's management about his intention to terminate the contract following his receipt of several professional offers.

Rashdan has a clause in his contract that allows for the legal termination of his agreement with Al-Zawraa in exchange for a payment of $120,000, which is the value of the release clause. The player is expected to transfer the amount in the next few days to become a free player.

Rashdan (26 years old) plays as a midfielder and is considered one of the prominent players in this position in Arab and Asian football. He has led the Nashama team to significant victories, scoring the winning goal against Iraq in the quarterfinals of the Asian Cup with a powerful rocket-like shot, and scoring the qualification goal against Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup with a skillful header.

Rashdan is considered one of the main pillars on which Jamal Salami greatly relies in the Jordanian national team due to the player's exemplary attributes, such as his impressive height and ability to win physical duels, in addition to his keen vision on the field and his ability to supply attackers with ideal passes for scoring.

Rashdan began his football career with Al-Hussein Irbid, then moved to play for Al-Faisaly, and thereafter entered the world of international professionalism, playing for Noruz Club in Iraq, Emirates, and Al-Khaldiya before settling with Al-Zawraa in Iraq.
