Mahmoud Murdi Terminates Contract with Dibba AlEmarati

Khaberni  - Mahmoud Murdi, a star of the Jordanian national football team and unexpectedly, announced today, Friday, that he has officially terminated his contract with Dibba Al-Emarati club, after a short period of joining it.

Murdi had moved to Dibba at the beginning of the current season after his contract with Hussein Irbid club ended, leading them to win the Jordanian league title for the first time in its history.

With the winter transfer window open, several players from the Jordan national team, notably Nizar Al-Rashdan, have terminated their contracts recently, including Al-Rashdan, who ended his connection with Al-Zawraa of Iraq and returned to Amman.

 

Mahmoud Murdi Ends His Experience with Dibba Club 

In this context, the star of the Nashama team, through his Instagram account, disclosed that he officially terminated his contract with Dibba Al-Emarati at his request which was approved.

The player did not reveal the real reasons leading him to request the termination of his contract, though some followers confirmed that he might return to Hussein Irbid club, which expects an important participation in the second round of the AFC Champions League, hoping to win the title.

Murdi thanked the management of Dibba Club for understanding his circumstances and agreeing to terminate his contract, wishing the team success in the upcoming phase.

Mahmoud Murdi is one of the prominent stars of the Jordan national team who shined with the team in the 2023 Asian Cup, leading them to the runners-up position, driving them to the 2026 World Cup finals, and recently led the Nashama team to a runners-up title in the 2025 Arab Cup for the first time in the history of Jordanian football.

The 32-year-old plays as a left winger, starting his career with Union Al-Zarqa then moving to Sheikh Hussein and Union Al-Ramtha teams. His star shone when he moved to Al-Ahly team before going professional with Al-Arabi of Kuwait.

Murdi then returned to Jordan and played briefly with Al-Faisaly, then for Al-Jazeera, and afterward returned to international professionalism through Kedah Darul Aman club of Malaysia, before settling with Dibba Al-Emarati.
