Sharara Approaches the Moroccan League

Khaberni - Mohammad Abu Zureiq, popularly known as "Sharara", star of the Jordanian national team, has received an offer from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, which is looking to bolster its squad during the winter transfer period.

According to the "winwin" website, Raja Casablanca, nicknamed the Green Eagles, is just a few steps away from signing "Sharara", after negotiations have advanced significantly both with Ramtha SC and the player himself.

Sources indicate that the two parties have discussed various details related to the value of the release clause and the terms of the personal contract, making the official announcement of the transfer just a matter of time.

The next few days are expected to bring more clarity concerning the outcome of the negotiations, with the possibility for the player, Mohammad Abu Zureiq, to terminate his current contract with his club Ramtha by paying the release clause, which is approximately $50,000.

Abu Zureiq has been one of the players who has caught the eye during the Arab Cup 2025, where his team, Al-Nashama, reached the final before losing to Morocco in an unprecedented achievement.

Will Sharara leave Ramtha and join Raja Casablanca?

Before the start of the current season, Mohammad Abu Zureiq "Sharara" eagerly awaited foreign offers, but eventually decided to return to his home club.

The star of the Jordanian national team still has a strong desire to return to professional football abroad as he looks to secure his future, enhance his technical and physical readiness, and ensure he remains a viable option for the technical staff led by the Moroccan Jamal Sellami.

Playing for a club of Raja Casablanca's stature would be a win for the player and a significant addition to his resume, so it is expected that Mohammad Abu Zureiq will not hesitate to accept the offer if an agreement is reached, especially since it could be financially attractive, potentially exceeding one million dollars.

Mohammad Abu Zureiq's Career:

29-year-old Abu Zureiq began his career with Ramtha SC, leading them four seasons ago to win the Jordanian league title after a 40-year hiatus, and has had professional stints with Al-Sailiya in Qatar, Al-Ahly Tripoli in Libya, and ES Tunis, before returning to Jordan through Al-Wehdat and then moving to Al-Hussein before settling back at his mother club Ramtha.

Abu Zureiq is known for his speed, high technical skills, ability to dribble, and precise long-range shooting, having scored a beautiful goal against the Egyptian national team while participating with the Jordanian national team in the 2025 Arab Cup held in Qatar.
