AlKhasawneh Irbid Developmental Exhibition boosts the citys economic and developmental status

Khaberni -  Business leader Dr. Worood Al-Khasawneh participated in the Irbid Developmental Exhibition, confirming that based on her long experience in managing and organizing exhibitions in Dubai, this project possesses true potential to be a permanent economic and developmental window for the city of Irbid, if it is invested in and operated professionally throughout the year.

Al-Khasawneh pointed out that the location of the exhibition within King Abdullah II Gardens is a strategic and ideal location that can transform into a vibrant exhibition center serving Irbid and the northern governorates, and potentially be the largest and most prominent exhibition at the governorate level, especially given the advanced infrastructure it enjoys.

On the sidelines of her participation, Al-Khasawneh presented an operational plan based on utilizing the exhibition at specific times of the year to market rural and agricultural products and handicrafts, in addition to using it during other times as an investable space available for rent to organize bazaars, specialized exhibitions, cultural and artistic events, and seasonal exhibitions.

She emphasized that operating the exhibition periodically, several days monthly, would ensure the sustainability of financial returns, and transform it into a platform that contributes to creating direct and indirect job opportunities for over 40 individuals from the local community.

She added that she presented a preliminary feasibility study revealing the potential to generate an annual income estimated at about 200 thousand dinars, if the exhibition is operated according to a professional business model, alongside its role in boosting local and international tourism to Irbid and enhancing its status as an economic and cultural destination.

She confirmed that the project, which cost over 3 million dinars, calls for a professional management and operation model that matches the scale of investment and maximizes the expected economic and social impact.

Al-Khasawneh concluded by stressing that optimal investment and proper operation of this exhibition will not only maintain its feasibility, but will turn it into a sustainable developmental success story reflecting Irbid as a city capable of transforming public projects into platforms of production, work, and sustainability.

It is worth mentioning that the Irbid Developmental Exhibition was held in partnership between the Irbid Reconstruction Foundation, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Greater Irbid Municipality, on a land area of 5 dunams, with a built-up area of 4550 square meters spread over three fully equipped floors.

The exhibition includes two large halls for rural and agricultural products, and seasonal items, semi-permanent exhibitions for handicrafts and charity bazaars, in addition to art gallery wings and spaces for artistic performances, making it qualified to be a developmental, tourist, and economic front that enhances Irbid's presence on the national map.
