Ghada Abdel Razek sues the production company for the series Alia

Khaberni - The artist Ghada Abdel Razek announced that she is suing the production company of the series "Alia," which is scheduled to be aired in Ramadan 2026.

The legal advisor Yasser Qantoush's office, representing Abdel Razek, revealed that all legal proceedings against the production company have begun due to their failure to adhere to contractual terms and repeated unjustified delays in filming.

An official statement clarified that the company had marketed the series and sold it in Egypt and abroad before starting filming, ensuring a financial return without fulfilling its contractual obligations or providing the artist with her due financial rights.

Ghada Abdel Razek confirmed that she would not allow her name to be used in any marketing or commercial activities associated with the series before the completion of filming and legal settlement, emphasizing that her relationship with the company is suspended until all her rights are fully executed.

Yasser Qantoush's office has been tasked with contacting official entities to prevent the issuance of work permits for the series until the legal procedures are completed and the artist's moral and financial rights are secured.

This comes as the writer Ayman Salama announced a few days ago that filming of the series would resume after a temporary stop, starting from December 27, in an attempt to catch up with its showing during the Ramadan 2026 season.

The series features a selection of stars, notably: Ghada Abdel Razek, Mohamed Riyad, and Sabry Fawaz, and is written by Ayman Salama and directed by Ahmed Hassan. There are speculations that the producer Islam Al-Morsi may make adjustments to the team after the withdrawal of some participants before completing the filming of the remaining scenes.
