The embassy stated through the "X" platform, saying: "Further to the announcement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 1, 2025 regarding the agreement signed between the two countries for mutual visa exemption, the embassy wishes to inform citizens interested in visiting the Russian Federation that the agreement is still not in effect as of this date."

The embassy added that both sides are still in the process of completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures within the frameworks approved between them.

The embassy emphasized its commitment to keeping citizens constantly informed of any developments in this matter and that it will announce the date of the agreement's implementation as soon as it is determined and approved by the relevant authorities in the two friendly countries.
