George Clooney Mocks Trump

Khaberni - Actor George Clooney sharply comments on President Donald Trump's criticisms about him and his family acquiring French citizenship and said, quoting Trump's slogan: "We have to make America great again."

The response from the global American actor, an Oscar winner, came after Trump's mocking comment on Clooney and his wife, lawyer Amal Alamuddin, acquiring French nationality.

Clooney, quoting Trump's famous slogan, said: "We have to make America great again," adding: "We'll begin in November" referring explicitly to the scheduled US midterm elections on November 3, 2026.

Clooney responded during an interview with "Hollywood Reporter", where he said: "I completely agree with the current president. We need to make America great again," using Trump's phrase mockingly to reflect his opposing political stance.

Trump had mocked Clooney and his wife's decision to acquire French nationality, describing them on his platform "Truth Social" as "some of the worst political forecasters ever."

Trump wrote: "Good news! George and Amal Clooney, the worst political forecasters of all time, have officially become French citizens — a country, unfortunately, in the midst of a severe criminal delinquency crisis resulting from catastrophic immigration policies very much like what happened during the sleepiness of Joe Biden's era."

It should be noted that the dispute between Trump and Clooney is not new; in 2024, Clooney called on then-President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race in favor of his vice, Kamala Harris, but later retracted this position and described it as a "mistake."

George Clooney, his wife, and their children officially became French citizens last December, after years of residing in their South France estate.
