Khaberni - The head of the Gas Station Owners, Warehouses, and Gas Agencies Union, Nahar Saeedat, said on Thursday that the demand for gas has increased over the past three weeks due to the weather, from an average of 140,000 cylinders daily to 200,000 cylinders daily.
Speaking on "Al-Mamlaka", he added that gas filling stations are working until late to meet the market demand, noting that the daily consumption during peak times reaches 200,000 cylinders.
He pointed out that they continue to operate to meet consumer needs, and regarding the fuel stations, he mentioned that reducing the price of kerosene has a positive effect on consumers, as it is among the demanded materials, and it is resorted to by people with limited income.
He clarified that the demand for kerosene is concentrated in the winter season, where the local market annually consumes about 180 million liters of this substance.
