Khaberni - The latest satellite images received by "Arab Weather" show an intensification of the weather depression affecting Jordan, as well as the arrival of a slow-moving, highly effective cold air front to the central areas after it has completely passed through the northern region, thus extending the rainfall to include the capital Amman, Balqa, and parts of Zarqa Governorate and Madaba.
Furthermore, the extension will continue by midnight Thursday/Friday, and dawn, to the governorates of Karak and Tafilah, and it will be heavy at intervals. Given the saturation of the soil and land with moisture and water, and the previous heavy rainfall over several days last week, it is expected:
1- Very significant runoff in the valleys and streams
2- Formation of flash floods, including in the northern and central Jordan Valley
Large water gatherings on the roads
3- Potential for soil and rock landslides
