Khaberni - The Head of the Contractors Syndicate, Fouad Al-Duwairi, said that the relevant authorities have done their part during the weather depressions, but the amount of rainfall that fell was greater than the capacity of the previously equipped infrastructure, although the infrastructure in Jordan is good.
Fouad Al-Duwairi added, "The amount of rainfall was more than the government's capacity, and it was not due to mistakes of a specific entity; the dams were filled within 24 hours," indicating the presence of a climate change in Jordan, and that the amount of rainfall the kingdom experienced was substantial.
He emphasized that sustainability must be present in any project to ensure its continuity, whether it's a project for water drainage, roads, or otherwise.
He called on employers to increase supervision to ensure the quality of the work, pointing out that each contractor represents himself in performing his role and his honesty, and that the contractor who receives the project from the employer works under consultancy supervision, and executes the contract based on the data provided by the engineering office.
Fouad Al-Duwairi clarified that the contractor is the final link in executing any project, where the execution is through the employer or the engineering office that conducts the study, while the contractor implements the project and is subject to supervision.
