Jordan prison for a mother who lost her humanity and sold her daughters into prostitution

Khaberni - In an incident that revealed an ugly face of child exploitation by those closest to them, the Amman Criminal Court concluded a human trafficking case, the convicted in which are a mother who stripped herself of maternal emotions, and a nightclub owner who turned his establishment into a market for disguised slavery.

In an open session presided over by Judge Ahoud Al-Majali and member Judge Badr Abu Dalu, the court sentenced the nightclub owner and the lady working for him "the mother"; to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of 5,000 dinars, for trafficking in persons by exploiting her minor daughters "aged 14 and 15" in prostitution.

The court also did not overlook the corporate entity, convicting the company owning the club of the felony of human trafficking, based on the provisions of the human trafficking prevention law and the Jordanian Penal Code.

Conversely, applying the principles of justice, the court announced the acquittal of a third defendant in the same case; due to the lack of sufficient legal evidence to convict him.
