Khaberni - The head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, stated today that the decision to end the UAE's presence in Yemen does not imply severance or disavowing the bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing that this step comes within the framework of correcting the coalition's course to serve shared goals.
Al-Alimi said that protecting the strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia represents a national responsibility. The Yemeni leadership recognizes the gains achieved and is aware of the risks of neglecting it, asserting that this partnership forms a fundamental pillar in supporting efforts to restore the Yemeni state.
The head of the Leadership Council explained that the recent decisions were not an expression of a desire to escalate or retaliate, but were a response to the necessities of the stage, and in alignment with the main goal of serving the battle to restore the Yemeni state, whether peacefully or by war.
Regarding the southern issue, Al-Alimi emphasized the commitment of all parties to address the southern issue within a comprehensive national framework, away from armed conflicts, which enhances the chances of stability and prevents the country from further complications.
He confirmed that any measures taken would continue to be directed towards supporting the national path, preserving unity, and enhancing efforts to end the coup and restore state institutions.
