New Years Eve Arrest of Prophet Claimant Abu Noah in Ghana

Khaberni - Ghanaian police arrested a Ghanaian man named Ebo Noah, after he sparked wide controversy on social media for a false prophecy in which he claimed that the world would end on Christmas, December 25, 2025.

The claimant of prophecy, who was known as Abu Noah, appeared inside a Ghanaian police station after being detained on New Year’s Eve, in connection with investigations related to fraud and scam allegations, according to reports on social media.

Security sources confirmed that the suspect's real name is Evans Eshun, noting that the police are following up on alleged claims he made online, related to misleading the public and collecting money through unlawful ways, while no official detailed statement by the Ghanaian police regarding the circumstances of the arrest has been released yet.

Ebo Noah had previously claimed that God ordered him to build a giant ark to save humanity from a devastating flood he said would destroy the world on December 25, 2025, calling his followers to contact him to reserve places inside the alleged ark.

Before the date he set for the end of the world, he went back and announced that the flood would not happen, alleging that God had changed his mind after his fasting and prayers, which sparked a wave of anger and wide criticism, especially after he was accused of collecting large amounts of money from his followers under the pretext of building the ark.

Reports indicated that the police had tried to detain him on December 18, based on orders from the commander of the Elmina area, but he managed to escape then, prompting the authorities to launch a search operation that included questioning his parents and neighbors.

Investigations are still ongoing to uncover the amount of money collected, the number of people affected by these claims, amid calls for his legal accountability and to prevent the exploitation of religious beliefs in fraud and scam operations.
