Israeli Military Leader Calls for Readiness for a Sudden War

Khaberni - A prominent commander in the Israeli army believes that Tel Aviv should be prepared for a ”sudden war”.

Starting from October 2023, Israel waged a genocide war in Gaza, in addition to wars against Lebanon and Iran.

The Israeli army stated in a release: “Yesterday (Tuesday), a surprise (internal) inspection of the Central Command was completed by its leader Major General Avi Balut”.

The “Central Command” is one of four main commands in the Israeli army, responsible for military operations in central Israel and the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The statement quoted Balut saying: “The main scenario we must prepare for is the readiness for a sudden war. We need to maintain a high level of readiness”.

Balut did not specify what entity Israel might be fighting, but there have been hints of staging a new war against Iran, executing vast attacks in Lebanon, and Israeli ministers advocating for the resumption of the genocide war in Gaza.

Balut added that “the inspection (internal) is a fundamental tool for monitoring the situation and enhancing professional efficiency and operational readiness”.

The “inspection (at the Central Command) came as part of the process of drawing lessons from the events of October 7, 2023,” according to the military.
