Completion of Maintenance Works at Jerash Comprehensive Center and Souf Primary Center during the First Quarter of 2026

Khaberni - The director of Jerash Health, Saieb Abu Oboud, revealed that the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation efforts at Jerash Comprehensive Center and Souf Primary will be during the first quarter of 2026, noting that the achievement rate at these centers has reached 90%.

Abu Oboud stated on “al-Mamlaka” that Souf Primary Center was closed in 2025 for maintenance and rehabilitation, funded by a Kuwaiti grant of 193,577 dinars, which included the rehabilitation of the center, adding a new floor, a front extension, and general maintenance.

Abu Oboud added that the Jerash Comprehensive Health Center was closed at the beginning of this year for rehabilitation, maintenance, expansion, and development of the center within the “Hemmatna” initiative.

Abu Oboud pointed out that the Minister of Health regularly follows up on the maintenance work to ensure the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation of the centers to provide optimal service to the clients and to ease their burden by the scheduled date.

Abu Oboud explained that this year marked a pivotal moment in the development of the healthcare sector in the province through implementing extensive construction and developmental projects that contributed to enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of health services provided to the citizens.

Abu Oboud clarified that land worth 55,000 dinars was purchased to establish an upcoming health center, in addition to allocating land for the Ministry of Health to build Mishirefeh Health Center. The purchase transaction for land for Hadadeh Health Center has been completed, pending the provision of necessary financial allocations in next year's budget.

Abu Oboud indicated that an announcement was made to the residents of Rashaideh area for those interested in renting an apartment to relocate Rashaideh Primary Health Center, ensuring the continuity of health services to the area's residents.

Regarding the development of qualitative services, he explained that Al-Qadesiyah Primary Health Center recently activated a cochlear clinic to conduct hearing tests and speech services, noting that this clinic is the first of its kind at the center level.

Abu Oboud mentioned that Al-Razi Comprehensive Health Center received the gold ranking (the distinction mark) and the first place at the national level within the (WASH FIT) program, along with most centers in the province being included in the program, reflecting adherence to health and safety standards.

Al-Razi Comprehensive Health Center and Sakib Comprehensive Health Center were also included in the Client Experience Assessment Program – Distinguished Government Service Award, and Al-Razi Comprehensive Health Center received the bronze certificate as a women-friendly center.

Abu Oboud indicated that several health centers in the province achieved accreditation this year, including Al-Kafir Primary Health Center, Mirsaa Primary Health Center, Qadesiyah Primary Health Center, and Al-Razi Comprehensive Primary Health Center, confirming that these accreditations reflect adherence to national quality standards.

Abu Oboud explained that general maintenance had been carried out for most health centers in the province, along with activating a hotline to receive citizen complaints, under direct instructions from the Minister of Health, where the complaint number has been circulated across all health centers to ensure a quick response and follow-up.

Abu Oboud explained that water security and safety are integral parts of the national security system, revealing that the directorate implements a regular and systematic monitoring program that involves collecting and examining water samples from factories, water stations, public and private sources, and networks, as well as dairies and restaurants, aimed at protecting public health and ensuring citizens' safety. In mid-2025, an R.O water distillation device was installed for laboratory use, with the distilled water distributed to health centers as needed.

Abu Oboud clarified that medications are available at all health centers in the province, with periodic orders placed immediately when stock levels reach the minimum approved threshold of 30% to ensure supply sustainability and avoid any shortages, noting that supervisory teams from various directorate departments carry out regular field trips to health centers to monitor operations and enhance performance levels.

He noted that the directorate implemented several health and awareness initiatives during the year aimed at enhancing citizens' health awareness, including the Pink October initiative for breast cancer awareness, World Diabetes Day initiatives, and participating in the national cleanliness campaign in cooperation with relevant entities, contributing to promoting healthy behaviors and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
