Khaberni - The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education stated that 7,488 students were martyred and 10,557 were wounded, due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the West Bank since the beginning of 2025.
The Ministry of Education clarified in a statement today, Wednesday, that the number of students martyred in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year reached more than 7,448, and those injured reached 10,130. In the West Bank, 38 students were martyred and 327 others were injured, in addition to 324 being arrested.
It was mentioned that 415 teachers and administrators were martyred and 912 were wounded in Gaza and the West Bank, and more than 48 were arrested in the West Bank.
The 'Education' pointed out that during 2025, the occupation targeted Birzeit University, Jerusalem University, Hebron University, and Palestine Polytechnic, as well as several Al-Tahaddi schools including: Shalal Al-Auja School, Khallet Omaira, Badu Al-Kaabneh, Khallet Al-Dubaa, and Yanun.
It is noted that during its aggression on Gaza Strip since the 7th of October 2023, the occupation destroyed 172 government schools completely, in addition to 63 buildings belonging to universities. Also, 118 government schools and more than 100 schools affiliated with the UNRWA agency were subjected to bombing and vandalism. The occupation aggression led to the removal of a total of 25 schools with their students and teachers from the educational record, whereas in the West Bank, 152 schools were exposed to vandalism, and 8 universities and colleges underwent repeated raids and vandalism.
