Occupation demolishes dozens of homes in Nur Shams camp

Khaberni -   Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished today, Wednesday, dozens of houses in Nur Shams camp east of Tulkarm city in the northern West Bank, as part of a continuous escalation targeting Palestinian camps.
The Tulkarm governorate stated in a statement that the occupation's bulldozers began extensive demolition operations in Al-Maslah neighborhood within the camp, executing a plan that involves demolishing 25 buildings housing over 100 homes, after forcibly displacing its residents during the latest assault on the camp, which started on the fourteenth of the current month.
In turn, the governor of Tulkarm, Abdullah Kamil, confirmed that the occupation's commencement of the demolition order of 25 buildings in Nur Shams camp is part of the ongoing crime of aggression against the people of our nation in both Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps.
He stated that this dangerous escalation targets the Palestinian presence in the camps, considering them as a living witness to the Nakba, and constitutes collective punishment against civilians, in flagrant violation of international law and human rights charters.
He explained that the demolition operations are part of a systematic policy that has led to widespread forced displacement and the conversion of both camps into devastated areas amid continuous destruction of infrastructure and houses, which exacerbates the humanitarian suffering of the citizens.
Kamil renewed his call to the international community and human rights institutions for urgent intervention to stop these violations, warning of their serious repercussions on the lives of civilians.
In a related context, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police.
The Jerusalem governorate reported that 524 settlers stormed "Al-Aqsa" from the Maghariba Gate in successive groups, performed provocative Talmudic rituals, and conducted tours inside its courtyards amid intensive security tightening by occupation forces.
