Israeli Forces Move into Southern Syria

Khaberni - Israeli forces penetrated, today, Wednesday, into areas in the southern countryside of Quneitra in southern Syria.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) stated that "a force consisting of 3 vehicles, including two Hilux cars, in addition to a Hummer, penetrated from the entrance of the town of Bir Ajam towards the village of Briqa".

It also mentioned that "Israeli occupation forces penetrated yesterday between the villages of Ruweihina and Al-Mashirfeh, established a temporary checkpoint at the intersection of the village of Um Al-Azam in northern Quneitra countryside, also moved into Al-Asha village, detained a citizen, and set up a temporary checkpoint between the village of Ain Al-Ziwan and the town of Kodna, in the southern countryside of Quneitra".

According to the agency, "Israeli occupation authorities continue their aggressive policies and breach the disengagement agreement signed in 1974, by penetrating areas in southern Syria and attacking citizens".

Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territories, affirming that all measures taken by it in southern Syria are null and void, have no legal effect according to international law, and calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities, and deter Israeli practices
