Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality renewed its invitation to citizens and taxpayers to benefit from a package of exemptions and incentives aimed at settling their outstanding financial debts before the end of 2025, as part of the municipality's policy to alleviate the burden on citizens and enhance tax compliance.
The Municipality clarified that the incentives include a 100% exemption from penalties for building and land tax (properties) and education tax for previous years, provided that all taxes and fees due are paid before the end of the working day on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
It also added that the resolutions also include a 25% discount on fees for investigations, returns, and compensations, and a 20% discount on building and land tax and education tax as well as sewerage contribution fees for the current and past years, provided that the amounts are fully paid before the end of the year.
The Municipality pointed out that a retroactive benefit would be granted to taxpayers who have paid the building, land, and education taxes and sewerage contribution fees between January 1, 2025, and the date of the decision issuance, where the due discount will be credited to them for the coming year along with the addition of the incentive discount.
It also mentioned that a 25% discount will be granted on road waste prices with the possibility of installment until the end of 2025, in addition to a 25% exemption from the fees owed by tenants of properties and buildings owned by the Greater Amman Municipality if paid before December 31, 2025.
The Greater Amman Municipality called on citizens to take advantage of these incentives within the specified time periods, emphasizing its commitment to facilitating procedures and providing the best services that serve the public interest.
